- Getting her diaper changed
- Getting dressed (putting shirts on)
- Taking naps
- Wearing hats
If someone passed by her room when we are changing her diaper or putting on her shirt they would think we are torturing her. She screams bloody murder and flails her arms and body in every which direction. It is such a challenge to get her dressed and changed. We tell her everyday she knows what we are doing and she goes through this everyday but it doesn't get much better. During the day she doesn't always scream but in the morning and at night she sure does. I guess she enjoys exercising her lungs.
Taking naps is another thing she doesn't enjoy. She fights sleep like no other and she can visibly be dead tired but still not want to go to sleep. She will have huge bags under her eyes, they will be red and she will have no steam yet when we go to put her to sleep she cries. We wish this wasn't the case but she cries practically every time she takes a nap. We thought that over time it would get better and she wouldn't cry but a year later she still does. We aren't holding our breath anymore.
Lastly, Emma is not a fan of hats or anything on her head. She will pull it off faster than we can put it on. The second we go to put her hat on she starts to pull it off. We're not sure why she doesn't like hats - and sometimes it creates a problem when it is super sunny (Hawaii) or super cold (SF) - she would benefit greatly from wearing one. Sometimes we are able to distract her and she will wear one for a bit but it is always a fight.
