Update on Emma

Emma is growing up so fast!! She is a little person with such a personality. One moment she is the sweetest little girl and the next she is a devil! An example of her devilish behavior is while she is pretty much potty trained she is acting out and will pee in her pants. When she does this she thinks it is funny and what is super annoying is we will ask her if she has to go and she will say no and then a minute later she will pee in her pants. We think she is acting out – maybe because I’m pregnant and she is fully aware of it but we don’t know. But is also is being really cute – especially when it comes to the baby. Yesterday morning when I was working from home she was leaving so came up to me to give me a kiss goodbye. She gave me a kiss and said bye mama and then she kissed my belly and said bye baby. That was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO adorable and melted my heart. I couldn’t believe she did that!
Emma is also getting two new teeth – her top molars. It’s been coming in for the last couple weeks. She’s been a trouper about it. After these come in all the way she will have all her teeth. Her thighs are also really thinning out. She is growing so much and is so active that she is losing her baby fat. She still has her cute little belly and I never want that to go away but it will in time. Her hair continues to grow – it is short still but she has these wonderfully tight little curls. It is really fun to play with her curls. She has a ton of hair on the very top of her head and it can fro. Jamey and I have talked about possibly getting her hair cut because the top is so crazy at times but we haven’t done anything about it yet.
We went to LA for Passover and we all had a great time. She loved seeing everyone and is absolutely, beyond in love with Gracie!!!!! All she really cared about was Gracie going everywhere with her. She took her for walks, she had to go with her to the bathroom and she had to be at her side at all times. When she had to say good-bye to her she toppled her and showered her with kisses. It was a really sweet good-bye. She just loves that dog!
Grandma took Emma to the park and there was a free Spring festival where there was an Easter bunny, arts and crafts, etc. and so Emma made a Easter basket. Emma loved drawing all over it. Later that afternoon, Grandpa and Grandma took her to the club to go see the ducks. She liked seeing them and was feeding them her snacks. On Sunday, Debra and I took Emma to her first Easter egg hunt at Julie Weiss’s house and she had a blast. She loved looking all over for the eggs and wanted to find more. I was surprised how much she enjoyed it!
She loves to explore things, help us cook, feed her monkey and bunnies, listen to music, sing and dance. She is such a performer! It is cute to hear her sing – she will sing the Elmo song, Hello Everybody, Bye Bye, Row Row Row Your Boat, Wheels on the Buss and more! She is also talking a lot – although she can get a bit quiet if she is around new people. She will show off for those people but she won’t talk as much. She is also repeating a lot more than she used to when not asked. For example, I was holding her the other day and Jamey was doing something and hurt himself – I said that was stupid and then she said stupid daddy. Whoops!! Didn’t mean for that to happen :) So while we are usually very careful around her we are being even more so!
