Halloween Time!

Emma and Hannah had so much fun during Halloween.  Emma was Tinkerbell and Hannah was a mouse. They looked so cute!!

We went Trick or Treating around our neighborhood and had a ton of fun.  Emma was very polite and said thank you each time she was given candy.  She would ask me or Jamey if the candy was "safe" for her to have.  It was very impressive that she would ask us if the candy was OK for her to have.  Hannah had a great time getting candy as well.  She wanted to be just like Emma.  While she didn't eat the candy she likes holding it.

Walking and Talking much? Ummm no

Hannah is changing by the minute.  Everyday is different which can be expected at this age.  She is trying to talk and listening to every word you say very closely.  She says bear, ball, touch, dad, up, pup pup for her puppy.  She says other things but who really knows or understands her.  If you ask her what sound a bee makes she will buzzzzzzz and if you ask her what sound a dog makes she will woof.  It is very cute.  She is learning a ton right now and paying very close attention to everything we do.

She loves to walk around but she will only do it if she is holding your hand.  It has become a crutch for her and we are trying to break her of the habit.  She will take steps on her own (up to 5) and she likes to stand and balance by herself... but she is so hesitant to walk.  In time she will be off!

She loves to turn lights on and off, play with buttons/switches and open/shut cupboards.  I let her stand in the kitchen and play with them and it drives Jamey crazy that I let her do that.  She is having fun.

Hannah is really a sweet sweet baby.  She loves to cuddle, she loves laying on soft things like her monkey rug or even the rug in the kitchen and she LOVES stuffed animals!!  She sleeps with a bear and her Hannah pillow and I will sometimes find her sleeping with her head on her pillow like a big girl.  She is always happy as well.  She is always laughing and playing.  She loves loves loves Emma to death and Emma can do no wrong in her eyes.  Even if Emma tackles her, she laughs.  Obviously, I'm not happy when Emma does that but Hannah doesn't mind.

She likes to play games too.  She knows that Emma's bunnies are off limits.  But Emma has been carrying around her bunnies in the house lately and if she puts them down Hannah will go and get them.  She will then laugh and run away with them.  I think it is hilarious, Emma, not so much.

Emma and Hannah love taking baths with one another.  Emma likes to wash Hannah's hair and Hannah loves to wash Emma's back and torso.  It is so cute to see them interact in the bath together and help each other out.  I really hope their sweet relationship continues through childhood and into their adult years.  They really do love being around each other and playing together.

Hannah likes to run away from us now when it is time to get her dressed at night.  She is just like Emma in that way -- naked baby on the loose.  She laughs and laughs and it is a fun game for her.  You can't help but laugh too because her sweet laugh is infectious.

Hannah and Emma update

Hannah's a year old and she is doing great.  She had her well baby appointment on Wednesday and she weighs 21 lbs which puts her in the 50 percentile.  She is starting to get very vocal and actually says "hi."  Sometimes we think she says Emma too but we aren't really sure.  She is starting to move a lot more and crawl now instead of scoot everywhere.  But my goodness, she is probably the fastest scooter in the west! For the longest time she wouldn't crawl and would get around scooting.  I am glad she finally figured out how to crawl and get around.  For the past few weeks she has been screeching like you couldn't believe.  She wants something, where it is attention, toy, food, whatever and she gets frustrated and starts speaking like a shrilling bird. I do hope this phase passes quickly. She has officially transitioned to cow's milk.  It wasn't too bad - Emma cared much much more.  But Hannah has always been easier in that regard than Emma.  She eats practically everything and will drink bottles.  She is sleeping well for her naps.  She is still taking two naps and will sleep about an hour each.  One of them will be a little more than an hour which is great.  When we put her down to sleep she doesn't cry. She just sucks on her puppy's ear and goes to sleep.  It is so nice to have a kid you can just put to sleep like that.  I remember Emma used to cry every single time you put her to sleep for her nap no matter what!!!  I thought it was normal and when I heard about her friends not doing that I couldn't understand.

Hannah has her top four teeth, and she just got her third one on the bottom.  I think another one is coming though.  Hannah overall is a really easy girl.  She is always happy, wants to be around people and is exploring and learning her world.  She absolutely adores Emma - she is her best friend!  And Emma loves her too.  It is really cute to watch them play together.  Emma is very good with her and will engage her to play.

Hannah and Emma love going swimming at Grandma Shu Shu's.  They are both water babies and could live in the pool if we let them.  Emma is a great swimmer.  She doesn't need much assistance in the pool.  Today she swam the entire length of the pool all by herself. I was so impressed.

We threw Hannah a birthday party at our new house.  We moved in the week before it so we had to get it together in record time!  It was a great party.  The weather was fantastic, Hannah loved the attention and Emma loved having everyone over.

For part of June, July and some of August Emma took ballet and tap classes.  Her friend Uma took the class too.  She started a couple of weeks later but it was nice for Emma to have a friend.  Emma liked it when she got there but it was such a fight to get her to go in the first place.  She wasn't that great of a listener to the teacher but when she wanted to she would.  We decided not to enroll her again and instead find something else for her to do.  She loves to do art so I am looking into art classes for her.

So much has happened

I really feel bad for not blogging until now.  To say so much has changed is an understatement.  The last few months have been crazy!  Hannah kept getting ear infections and finally on May 15 we got tubes put in her ears.  It was absolutely horrible to hold her as she was put to sleep.  I never want to experience that again!  However, putting tubes in her ears was the best decision we ever made.

We went to Santa Barbara for Ryan and Emily's wedding and Emma was the cutest flower girl.  Hannah walked down the aisle with us and then we handed her off to Judith.  Emma was adorable and she did great as a flower girl.  Will had to hold her hand and tug her a bit to get her to go down the aisle but it wasn't a big deal.  She didn't drop flowers going down the aisle and instead decided to drop them while she was seating down.  After dropping them at her feet she thought that the rose petals would taste good so she kept trying to eat them.  It was hilarious watching it.

We then moved to LA.  Jamey moved a week before me and the girls.  It was really hard moving without Jamey but my mom came up to help.  Judith came out for the first week and it was amazing!  Emma was really sad when Judith left.  She started The Tree House School and she really likes it.  She does miss her old friends (and Judith) terribly but once she starts making friends at school it will get better.

We saw Tricia and Mona the first weekend we were in LA.  We went to lunch and then beach.  Emma had so much fun seeing them!

On to Hannah.  As I write this the poor little girl is very sick.  She has had a really high fever for the past few days (103.5-104) and it is just so sad.  I took her to the doctor to make sure that her ears were clear, and they were.  I will not be surprised if she breaks out with a rash after her fever goes away.  I am kinda hoping that she does and then we know it was Roseola.

Hannah has also gotten a ton of teeth.  She has her two bottom teeth and she has three teeth on top.  She is waiting for her top front one to come in and I can see it coming.  I can tell that she is in pain from her teeth and I feel so bad for her!

Emma went to ballet and tap class today for the first time.  She has so much fun and she looked so cute as a ballerina!

A quick update

So Hannah has two bottom teeth now.  They definitely bother her a bit and towards the end of the day she can get cranky.  But overall, considering what she must be going through she is being a champ!

Her sleeping through the night is still not great.  It really is all over the place. This morning she woke up at 5:15am.  I wish she wasn't in our room because we would let her cry until 6/6:30 but we can't do that because she would wake up Emma.

Emma on the other hand woke up in the middle of the night (3am) crying and screaming.  When Jamey went in she said that she had a bad dream  - that skunks were trying to come in her room and bite her.  In the morning she said she was also scared that there were rats under her bed.  Jamey slept in her room with her for the rest of the night because she was very scared.  She wanted to come in our room but having one of our girls in our room was enough.

Emma also loves to make up words!  She calls me Mamu (ma-moo) and Bunu (bun-ooh) for her bunnies.  It is pretty cute.

She also loves making up songs.  The latest she said was a song that she made up in her heart.  We don't really get that but that's what she says :)

The last few months...

A ton has happened over the last couple of months.  I am just going to list things out because so much has happened.

  1. Hannah was constantly sick with ear infections.  She had three ear infections in less than 3 months.  It was so bad that we scheduled her to get tubes put in her ears.  Thankfully, after three different antibiotics, including the broad spectrum shot, her infections cleared up and we cancelled the surgery. It was supposed to happen last Tuesday (March 26).  Last week was the first week since Jan. 14 that she wasn't sick. I was going to the doctor every single week since I went back to work and it was getting really tiring.  Now her doctor and I are pretty close!  Dr. Dawn was great and really felt for us!
  2. We learned Hannah is tongue-tied.  We found out when she went to the ENT.  The ENT said that we don't need to do anything about it until we put tubes in her ears but it explains why she is suck a strong sucker!! She is overcompensating for the fact she can't stick her tongue out.  But she doesn't have a problem eating or nursing so there is nothing to do right now.
  3. Hannah turned 6 months old.  Her check-up went really well.  According to the percentiles, her head is on the smaller side which isn't surprising - so is Emma's; her weight is a bit above average and her height is a bit below.  She is perfect!
  4. The flu - Strain A took over our house.  We all got our flu shots but that didn't stop the flu from entering our house.  Emma got sick on a Thursday night and I took her to the doctor that Friday.  I brought Hannah with me because I didn't like the way she sounded and I had the doctor check her out.  (She had double ear infections) Thank goodness my mom was coming to town that weekend - I needed her more than ever to help out!  Then Sunday Hannah and I got sick. I texted Judith that night to let her know what she was in for the next day and she texted back that she too was sick!  My mom ended up staying until Wednesday night - she nursed us all back to health!!
  5. Emma's been eating like there are two of her.  She eats two dinners and downs food like it's going out of style!  She must be going through a growth spurt.
  6. Hannah got her first tooth!!  Her bottom left tooth broke through on Thursday (March 28).  It's very exciting.  It looks like her other tooth is about to break through any day as well.
  7. Hannah stopped rolling over.  She's not interested in doing so anymore.  The doctor isn't concerned and said that it isn't a milestone she really cares about.  I don't know why she stopped doing it - she just did.
  8. Hannah sits up all on her own now.  We worked on this skill for a while and she is really good at it.
  9. Hannah is getting so big it is ridiculous.  She has the cutest cheeks and OMG her thighs!!!  You just want to eat her ginormus thighs!!! They are the biggest thighs you have every seen.  Her rolls are incredible.  She also has twist on wrists and feet.  Her ankles don't really exist.  The crazy thing is she doesn't weigh all that much.  She weighed 16 lbs at her 6 month appointment and then when we were doing her pre-op appointment (two days before she was 7 months) she weighed 16 lbs and 3 oz.
  10. Emma's vocabulary has exploded!  She talks and sings up a storm.  She makes up some fabulous songs - my favorite is her window song.  "Open my window on the freeway.  No way, no way, Jose!"  She also sings Hebrew songs she learned at school.  She is singing Dayneu right now because of Passover.  She also loves to sing Happy Birthday in Hebrew and Spanish. Speaking of Spanish, Emma is starting to really talk in Spanish.  She used to mainly answer back in English but now she answers in Spanish a lot more.  It is really cute to hear her speak Spanish.  We are so glad that she is learning the language.
  11. Emma's favorite phrase is, "do you know something?" and then she will go and tell us a story or ask something.  It is really cute.
  12. Emma's behavior has gotten better.  Not a whole lot better but she is definitely being better.  She still isn't listening all the time and when we tell her not to do something it doesn't always work. But, she's a work in progress.
  13. Emma loves playing "baby."  She has all her dolls and has named them.  She says they are her babies like Hannah is my baby.  It is very cute to see her do all the things to them that I do to Hannah.  She gets them dressed, they go to the potty, she takes them for walks, puts them down for naps, etc.
  14. Emma can dress herself now.  She is very particular about the clothes she wears.  In fact, she has a favorite shirt - it is a short-sleeved blue shirt that says #1 Big Sister.  The shirt has a picture of two birds on it and one has a bow.  What is hilarious about this is that she calls it her kitty cat shirt.  I keep telling her she is silly to call them kitty cats because they are birds and she said no they are kitties.  The funniest thing about this is the other day Emma said to me, "Mommy, my shirt is so silly.  These kitties look a lot like birdies."  I busted out laughing!
  15. Emma and her hot chocolate.  Her morning ritual is drinking hot chocolate.  It is the only way now that we get her to drink milk. She makes it herself most of the time, with some help of course, and we buy the chocolate powder.  She likes it really "brownie" on top.  If it isn't "brownie" enough she lets us know!
  16. Emma is being really nice with Hannah.  She is very loving towards her.  Unfortunately, Emma doesn't know her strength and is a bit rougher with Hannah than we like.  She is learning but we still have to keep a watchful eye on her.
  17. Emma has a ton of nicknames for Hannah: Hannah Banana, Hannah Biena, Hannah Blank, Hannah Loopie
  18. Emma has created her own swear word.  When she gets hurt or drops something and doesn't mean to she will say "Plumee."  It's fantastic when she says it.  Makes us laugh each time!
  19. Emma got her brand new twin size bed a few weeks ago.  She loves her new bed!
  20. We broke down the real crib and moved into our room.  My dresser now lives in Emma's room.  This is less than ideal but our backs were killing us from putting Hannah down and picking her up from the Pack and Play.
  21. We are in the process of sleep training Hannah.  Tonight is Day 4.  She's been doing pretty well, all considering. We are sleeping in the living room.  I sleep on the couch and Jamey sleeps on the floor.  Last night she slept till a little after 6am which was great.  She woke up twice in the night but she didn't cry.  Now she just needs to not wake up and completely sleep through the night.  We are hoping we can move back into our room this weekend.
That's all I can think of for now.  I will post some photos later.

Update on Hannah's sleeping

I know I am going to jinx it but for the last two nights she has woken up only once - both times at 3:50am.  This is quite encouraging because it means she must be getting better.  We go back to the doctor on Monday for an ear check and if she is all clear than we can sleep train her.  The thought of sleeping through the night is almost too good to be true.  We are so looking forward to this!!

Update: I jinxed this!  Hannah's sleep has totally regressed since I wrote this post!  She's getting up every 3 - 4 hours and it is killing us.  Jamey is taking her to the doctor today (Monday, Feb. 11) and will talk to doctor about what to do.

Hannah rolled over!!!

Yeah!!! Hannah rolled over Monday night.  It was so cool.  Jamey and I were both home to watch this huge milestone! She was so impressed with herself. She kept doing it over and over.  She rolls on to her left side to her tummy and then is stuck on her tummy.  She hasn't rolled right to left and she can't get roll back on to her back.  She almost did this on Sunday - she was practicing hard - but she finally did it on Monday and we are so happy that she did it for us when we were home.  Now we need to be careful when we leave her places!!

I spoke too soon...

I went back to work on Jan. 14 and that's when Hannah decided to get sick.  Her sleeping through the night went out the door!  She's been waking up anywhere from 2-3 times a night and the only thing that calms her down is me nursing her.  She got a very bad cough and Jamey took her to the doctor on Tuesday (Jan. 15) and she said that her lungs were clear and we just needed to ride through this with her.

It's been really challenging with her being sick and waking up all the time - I am a ZOMBIE at work!  Who can blame me - I am lucky to get 2 hours of consecutive sleep!!

The second week back at work I had to go down to LA - Thursday night to Friday night.  I was really nervous to leave because no one has ever successfully put Hannah to bed but me.  Thank goodness she was a real trouper and was fine taking the bottle at night.  When I am around at night she has no interest in taking one so I was fearful she was going to cry herself to sleep.

Jamey and I were determined to sleep train this child when I returned from LA because we just couldn't keep getting up in the middle of the night.  Her cough was better but her sleep was worse.  I talked to the doctor to get some advice and when I told her that she still had her cough she said I needed to bring her in because a baby as young as she is can't have a cough for 2 weeks without getting checked again.  So I brought her in on Monday (Jan. 28) and found out that the poor little girl has ear infections in BOTH ears!!  We felt so bad that we didn't know.  She is on antibiotic now and hopefully she is getting better.  We have to go back after two weeks to get her ears checked again.  We really didn't know that she had ear infections because she was eating like a champ.  She was happy most of the time too - except she did start getting a little more fussy on the weekend and was making dinosaur sounds. So we were happy that we brought her in to be checked. The doctor said that we couldn't sleep train her until her ears cleared up and they better clear up soon!!! We are exhausted to the max and she is waking up earlier and earlier everyday.

Besides Hannah being sick she is doing really well.  She is growing like a weed and discovering new things everyday.  When I took her to the doctor I weighed her and she was about 15 1/2 lbs.  We had to take out the bassinet part of the pack n play. She loves to look around at everything and is easily distracted.  I used to be able to watch TV when I nursed her but I can't do that anymore because she stops, turns and tries to watch.  She has discovered her feet in the last week which is really cute.  She will play with feet and even suck on them.  She also likes to slam her feet down which can make very loud noises. When she does this we are reminded of Emma.

Last weekend, we gave Hannah oatmeal for the first time.  Her face on the first spoonful was priceless.  She didn't know what to think of it but she did eat it up.  We broke out the highchair and now she is eating her food in there.  I can't believe she is big enough to not only sit in her highchair but eat food already!! My little baby isn't such a baby anymore! The Banana has also been eating bananas as well as sweet potatoes.  She likes the food thus far!  She even will grunt saying she wants more.

Now on to Emma.  My little Emma bear.  She is having some behavior issues at school but we are trying to work through them.  She has a friend in her class names Willa and she has a love/hate relationship with her.  It is crazy - one minute they are hugging and laughing; the next Emma is trying to scratch her eyes out.  There is something about Willa that drives Emma crazy and I don't know what it is. We are working through all the behavior challenges with Emma and know that we will get through this with her.

Emma has gotten better though with Hannah.  She can still be mean to her but she does really love her.  She is a really good helper with Hannah.  She loves to take a bath with her and help put water on her feet so she doesn't get cold.  She also likes to give her toys and loves to hold her.  It is sweet to see them together.

Emma loves her puzzles and match game still.  She is always doing them and likes it when we play the match game with her. She is also a huge singer.  She loves to sing songs and makes up her own songs all the time. She made up this one song called "Open the window on the freeway." This stemmed from her always asking me to open her window when we were about to go on the freeway when I picked her up from school.  It is a very cute song that she sings every day and has taught it to her friends.

Miracles can happen more than once

The miracle of sleep strikes again (and again).  Hannah slept through the night Thursday night again!  We were beyond ecstatic!  And it was a really good thing too because the doctor said that we needed to get rid of the nighttime feed and we needed to do it now.  She said that we should let her scream her head off for up to an hour if she wakes up at night.  She said that it could take up to 7 nights but that it was very important for her to sleep through the night.  I couldn't imagine letting her cry for so long so I was so happy that she slept through the night all by herself.  And she did it again today!!!!!  Yeah for Hannah! (and for us)

Uncle Ryan comes to visit

Uncle Ryan came to visit last week and it was so much fun!  Emma loved spending time with him and vice versa.  It was the most time we've spent with Ryan one-on-one since Emma was born. I really loved having him here and seeing Emma in her element. We went to a birthday party for one of Emma's friends - Ryan was shell-shocked. After both girls went to sleep the first day he was here we went to dinner and Ryan was  exhausted - not only from being jet-lagged but also from how much energy it takes to take care of two kids.  He couldn't believe how you don't have any down time.  I told him that everyday is like groundhog's day - same thing over and over.  I think we definitely deterred him from having kids for a while - sorry Mom and Dad.

But Ryan was great at playing with Emma.  He would make her hysterically laugh and she really liked running around with him.  It was really nice to see them be together and they had some good bonding time. Ryan came to her school and when I went to pick her up that afternoon she asked where Uncle Ryan was.  When I reminded her that he went back home to New York she said I want to go see him. She missed him already.

Emma's three year-old doctor's appointment

We were a bit late getting her to her 3 year old doctor's appointment (Jan. 10) but we made it! Emma is perfectly average in height and weight.  She is 37 inches tall and weighs 30.5 lbs. That puts her exactly at the 50th percentile.  The doctor said Emma looks great and is doing everything she should be at this age.

Emma is still having a great time at school.  She loves being with her friends and playing.  Emma's teachers continue to say that she is very smart which is fabulous but she is having a bit of a hard time listening.  We are all working on getting her to be a better listener and giving her positive reinforcement.

Emma is very into pretend playing right now which is very cute. She has quite the imagination! Sometimes we don't know if she is telling us a real story or a pretend story.  The other day for instance she said she went to the school doctor and Jamey really believed it.  But then when we were on our way to the doctor I was talking to her about the doctor and I asked her if she went to the doctor at school and she started laughing and said no that was the pretend doctor and now I am going to the real doctor.  It was very cute!

The Miracle

Hannah slept through the night!!!! WOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!  She went to bed at 7:26 and woke up at 5:55.  She did wake up twice during the night and slammed her feet down but she didn't cry and quickly went back to sleep.  Needless to say, it was AMAZING!!  We are very proud of our little girl.  Now if she only keeps it up!

Hannah Biena

Hannah Biena is the nickname Emma has given to Hannah Banana.  It is very cute because she made it up all on her own.  Bienas isn't even a word!!

Hannah has changed so much in a week.  She is getting on a schedule where we can predict the times of her naps and that is a nice change.  She takes anywhere from 3-4 naps but the first one is around 8:30/8:45. She then takes another one around 11:45/12.  Depending on when she wakes up from that nap determines if she will take 3 or 4 naps.  Lately it's been 3 naps but you never know.  Her second nap is the long one of the day.  Typically, she will sleep anywhere from 2 to 3 hours.  The catch is it is in the stroller. We will have to get her off of that and sleep in her crib but we haven't tried to do that yet mainly because we are scared to.

She is a complete drool monster!  She is blowing raspberry's all the time which makes us laugh, she is sucking on her hands and just the other day she found her thumb! We are starting to put bibs on her because she is either spitting up (which she does too often in our opinion) or drooling.  I don't want her to be one of those babies that wears a bib all the time on top of her very cute clothing but everything is getting wet right now so it is easier to change her bib than her outfit.

The last two nights she has put herself to sleep at night which is great.  She may or may not fall asleep while I am nursing her but then she will wake up and start blowing raspberry's at me. I put her in her crib and she will go to sleep on her own.  This is completely different than Emma and we are loving it!  Hannah is also learning to go to sleep at nap time without us having to rock her to sleep. We let her cry/whine for 10 mins at most but she is usually asleep before we have to go in and help her calm down.

Another milestone is she is bringing toys to her mouth and is batting at them when she is on her play mat. Of course since she loves putting things in her mouth the toys she can grab on her play mat end up in her mouth.  She also likes to chew on Sophie the Giraffe. Hannah is great at tummy time and really doesn't mind it.  We can keep her on her tummy for a while.  I remember with Emma we used to call tummy time tummy torture but not with Hannah. She hasn't started to roll yet but that will come in time. We kinda like that she really isn't mobile because it means we can leave her places - but we know that she can roll at any minute so we are getting better and not leaving her unattended in a place where she can get hurt if she rolls.

She is very observant just like her sister. She loves to look around and look at people.  She doesn't like being covered up or facing walls when there are things for her to look at.

She is such a sweet and good little baby.  She is pretty easy-going and predictable.  We are starting to see real differences between her and Emma which is so cute because it means she is growing up and getting bigger.

Hannah is still sleeping in the pack-n-play in our room.  So far it is still fine but it will be nice to have our bedroom back.  The doctor thinks when she is 6 months old she can move into her and Emma's room but we will have to play that one by ear.

Scottsdale with the family

We had a great time with my parents in Scottsdale.  It was a hard trip with both girls navigating naps and all but it was really nice to be with my parents and be on vacation.  We kept the girls on west coast time (AZ is an hour ahead) which worked out quite well.  Judy and Ed met up with us one day and it was fabulous that they got to meet Hannah and see Emma.  It had been a while since we saw them and it was nice to be able to spend the day with them.  Emma really enjoyed them - and they got her one of her favorite gifts - a huge sticker book.  That kept her occupied during the trip - especially during meals.  We went to a train park with Judy and Ed and it was amazing. It is a public park with two fabulous playgrounds.  It also has a carousal that you have to pay for and actual trains that you can ride on.  It is one of the best parks we have ever been to.  Emma loves riding on trains and enjoyed going on the train.  The rest of the trip she was pretending to be the conductor and made us ride on her fictional train.  They had a special night light program going on during the holidays and so Grandma and Grandpa took Emma one evening to see the lights and ride the train.  There were tons of characters there which you can see from the pictures and then the train ride was fabulous.  Emma absolutely loved it!!!  She had a blast.

We ate every meal out and overall the girls were good.  Hannah really did well to our surprise - she would sleep during part or all of the meal which really helped.  We remember when Emma was this age we couldn't go out to dinners because Emma would just meltdown.  With Hannah we can and that is such a nice change.

In Scottsdale, bunnies are wild and Emma thought that was the greatest thing. She loved chasing after them but we wouldn't let her get too close.

The weather wasn't quite as warm as we hoped for but it was still nicer than home. The pools were heated and so Emma was able to go swimming.  There was a water slide and all Emma wanted to do was go down it.  She was too small for it but I was able to convince the guard to let me go down it with her once.  It was a lot of fun!

It was sad when the trip came to an end.  It was great bonding time for the girls with Grandma and Grandpa.  Emma enjoyed having their company (and attention) and it was great for them to get to know Hannah and spend quality time with her.
